This firestation, a joint project with Chislett Manson & Co. Ltd., was designed as the headquarters for the large local volunteer fire department. In addition to the standard programmatic spaces, this firehall has a large community component which includes a multi-purpose room, recreation room, and a museum display. These unique spaces are highlighted in the architectural vocabulary by contrasting the use of an exposed glulam structure and zinc tile cladding with the traditional brick masonry cladding which wraps the remainder of the building.
