Firehall No. 2

This satellite firehall, located in close proximity to a public park, accommodates full time career fire crews. The use of traditional brick masonry, combined with materials such as translucent panels and exposed concrete combines design features without compromising energy efficiency and durability. The siting of this two tandem bay hall, not only allowed for the existing hall to remain operational while construction was underway, but subtly created a separation between the public and private realms while not stifling public curiosity.
