Key Team Members

Kimberly Johnston MAIBC, LEED AP, Principal

As the firm was started by her father, Douglas Johnston, Kimberly has had the opportunity to work with the firm in various capacities since the early age of 19, giving her an understanding of the architectural process from the ground up. Her interest in architecture has been enhanced and cultivated by working alongside Doug for many years, in which they created a firm balanced on achieving design excellence and the desire to provide clients with solutions that integrate sustainable ideas in a seamless fashion. She has garnered valuable skills in working with clients developing design concepts, sustainable design, construction documentation, and fields services all of which round out the various stages of the life of a project.

Her experience and interest with civic projects has provided Kimberly with valuable knowledge on the path to seeing a project become realized both from a creative and functional perspective. She participates extensively in various public meetings and presentations for diverse client groups, engaging all who meet her in a JDa’s transparent and creative approach to design.
